Alexandre Roig is Dean of the Instituto de Estudios Sociales de la Economía (IDAES) at the Universidad Nacional de San Martín (UNSAM) and Co-director of Centro de Estudios Sociales de la Economía (CESE) at IDAES (UNSAM). He is Professor and Researcher at the IDAES-UNSAM and completed his Ph.D in Economic Sociology of Development at L’École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (France). He has published domestic and international academic articles on development studies and the economic sociology of money and currency. His most recent book is La moneda imposible (Fondo de Cultura Económica, Buenos Aires, 2015).
