Armond Towns

Armond R. Towns earned his Ph.D. in the Department of Communication Studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with an emphasis in media theory, cultural studies, and black radical politics. He examines the intersections between race, gender, sexuality, capitalism, time, and space. Thus, his areas of study include, but are not limited to, black radicalism, media and cultural studies, post- and decolonial studies, the philosophy and science of race, Marxism, feminist and queer geography, and political economy.
