Donald MacKenzie

Donald MacKenzie is a Professor of Sociology at the University of Edinburgh. His current research is on the sociology of financial markets, and he is focusing in particular on research on automated high-frequency trading. His books include Inventing Accuracy: A Historical Sociology of Nuclear Missile Guidance (MIT Press, 1990) and An Engine, Not a Camera: How Financial Models Shape Markets (MIT Press, 2006).
