Kim-Marie Spence is Subject Lead (actg) and Lecturer at Queen’s University Belfast (UK) with a speciality in cultural industries and cultural policy, with a focus on the Non-West. Her main industry foci are K-pop (South Korea) and reggae/dancehall (Jamaica). She is also an adjunct lecturer at the Caribbean School of Media & Communication at the University of the West Indies (Jamaica). Kim-Marie also has significant policy experience as she is a former Jamaica Film Commissioner and has also worked with UNESCO on the Representative List of Oral and Intangible Heritage. She is co-author of Global Cultural Economy and is a Rhodes Scholar.
