Interested in submitting to the JCE? We are looking for new submissions

by JCE April 6, 2016

The JCE is an interdisciplinary forum for work exploring the role played by various forms of material cultural practice in the organisation of the economy and the social, and of the relations between them. We welcome papers exploring these questions, whatever the empirical context, from across the social sciences and humanities.

We are especially interested in papers that have noticed, been inspired or enraged by, the way their topics and themes have been debated in the JCE. Formal author guidelines can be found here

To celebrate our recent admission to Thomson Reuters’ SSCI we are particularly seeking content in the following areas:

–              the intersection of environmental politics and cultural economy

–              the intersection of queer politics and cultural economy

–              big digital data/ ubiquitous computing/ data & society/ human computer interaction

We are also very open to ideas and suggestions for unusual content, including practitioner interviews, Q and A debates, symposia, encomiums etc. to be considered for our Review and Commentaries section. If you have an idea you’re not sure will fit get in touch.
